Telecommunications revenue in Armenia increased by 4.8% in 8 months  of 2021

ArmInfo.Revenue in the communications sector of Armenia in January-August 2021 in comparison with the same period in 2020 grew by 4.8% (against 4.3% decline a  year earlier), exceeding 95.9 billion drams. This is evidenced by the  data of the RA Statistical Committee.

According to statistics, the lion's share of the total revenue was  provided by the telecommunications sector - 90.6% or over 86.9  billion drams, changing the y-o-y dynamics from 4.3% decline to 5%  growth.

However, in August 2021alone, the total revenue of the communications  sector decreased by 2.1% - to 12.4 billion drams. Of these, 11.3  billion drams, with a monthly decline of 1.4%, are provided by the  telecommunications sector.

As a comparison, we note that in January-August 2020, the revenue of  the communications sector of Armenia amounted to 92.9 billion drams,  of which 90.5% or 84.1 billion drams were provided by the  telecommunications sector.
