ArmInfo.A delegation of the Armenian government will take part in the Russian Energy Week international forum.
Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Suren Papikyan, Head of the Energy Department of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Melkonyan and Advisor to the Protocol Department of the Prime Minister Edmond Davtyan on October 13-15, 2021, will be sent to Russia (Moscow) to participate in the international forum "Russian energy week ".
As reported by the press service of the government, the decision was signed by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on October 11.
To note, the purpose of the Forum is to demonstrate the prospects of the Russian fuel and energy complex and realize the potential of international cooperation in the energy sector. The Forum is a platform for discussing the main challenges faced by the energy sector of the economy and topical development problems: gas, oil and coal industries; petrochemistry; electric power industry; nuclear energy; hydropower; renewable energy sources (RES); energy saving and energy efficiency improvement.
In 2019, the third International Forum: "Russian Energy Week", was held. The Forum has been held since 2017 and managed to acquire the status of the main event in the field of energy efficiency in Russia and abroad. The central event of the official business program of REW 2019 was the plenary session Energy Partnership for Sustainable Development, at which the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin spoke. The main program of the Forum consisted of more than 70 events in various formats, such as a plenary session, panel sessions, round tables, lectures, meetings of industry experts, etc. The business program of the Forum was attended by 417 speakers. In 2019, the Forum was attended by over 10,000 participants and media representatives from Russia and 115 foreign states and territories in four days.
