ArmInfo. The courts will consider complaints about violations during bidding on public procurements, Deputy Finance Minister Avag Avanesyan said, presenting the draft amendments to the Procurement Law and related laws at a meeting of the parliamentary commission on economic issues on October 20.
So, according to the Deputy Minister, as of today about 200 complaints are filed about the process of implementing public procurement every year. The indicator is quite low - below 1% of all purchases, Avanesyan pointed out. As a result of the changes, there will be specialized judges considering cases in this area, who will also make decisions on the application of a sanction against a participant who violates the rules of the competition in the form of including him in the procurement blacklist.
To note, the new RA Law "On Procurement" on April 25, 2017 entered into force in full. The authors of the bill, represented by the head of the Armenian Ministry of Finance, immediately dubbed the document "revolutionary", in parallel, continuing the legislative regulation of the sector.
