In January-September 2021, Gazprom Armenia CJSC regained its leading positions in the list of the largest taxpayers in Armenia, increasing payments to the state treasury by 9.7% over the year to 38.3 billion drams ($ 79 million). According to the State Revenue Committee, a year earlier Gazprom Armenia occupied the 2nd position. The company paid over 193 million drams for customs duties, 3.5 billion drams for direct taxes, 33.9 billion drams for indirect taxes.
Zangezur Molybdenum Combine CJSC moved up to the second position from the third, having paid AMD 38.2 billion to the state budget, of which AMD 1.2 billion in customs duties, AMD 16.4 billion in direct taxes (including income tax, tax for profit), 1.1 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
The third place in the list of taxpayers was taken by the Office of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, which paid 34.2 billion drams to the state treasury, of which 27.9 billion drams for income tax, 5.2 billion drams for VAT.
The Armenian-Canadian JV "Grand Tobacco" moved down to the fourth position from the first year earlier, having paid 24.7 billion drams to the state treasury, of which AMD 961.2 million for customs duties, AMD 5.077 billion for direct taxes (including income tax, profit tax), AMD 19.3 billion for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax ).
Geopromining Gold LLC moved down to the 5th place from the 4th year earlier, tax payments of which amounted to AMD 16.4 billion, of which 396.1 million drams for customs duties, 6.1 billion drams for direct taxes, 423.7 million drams for indirect taxes.
In total, the five leaders paid to the budget through taxes 151.9 billion drams ($ 313.7 million), of which 59.1 billion - for direct taxes (including income tax, profit tax) and 59.9 billion drams- for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). In comparison with the volume of tax payments of last year's five, the current figure has increased by 14.2%. After 5 leaders in the top ten, International Masis Tabak (6th position, as in the previous year), the telecom operator MTS Armenia (VivaCell-MTS trademark) moved up to 7th from last year's 9th position, the 8th place was taken by "Teghut", which occupied the 42nd position a year earlier, followed by the CPS Oil Corporation LLc., which closed the top 5 a year earlier, and the 10th position was taken by the oil trader "Flash" (versus 7th a year earlier).
According to the data of the State Revenue Committee, the 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia in January-September 2021 paid 871.2 billion drams ($ 1.7 billion) to the state treasury, which is 20.7% more than a year ago. The share of TOP-5 accounts for 17.4%, and TOP-10 - 24.7% (215.5 billion drams or $ 445 million).
