Armenia`s insurance sector increased payments to state treasury by  31.3%, in Jen-Sep of 2021

ArmInfo. The insurance sector of Armenia in January- September 2021 paid taxes for 2.1 billion drams ($ 4.3 million), which is 31.3% higher than a year ago  (against 33.3% growth a year earlier). Of this amount, 1.8 billion  drams fell on direct taxes, with a y-o-y growth of 28.6% (against  16.7% growth a year earlier).

According to the RA State Revenue Committee,  only RESO IC  was not  included in the list of 1000 largest taxpayers in Armenia for 9  months of 2021 out of 6 functioning insurance companies (as in the  previous year).

The list of insurance companies in terms of tax payments is headed by  INGO Armenia IC, which moved up to 265th place (from 292nd a year  earlier), replenishing the state budget by 595.4 million drams, of  which 543.1 million drams - for direct taxes (including . income tax  and profits tax).

Rosgosstrakh Armenia IC dropped to the 312th place From the year  earlier 231st place, having directed 523.6 million drams to the state  budget, of which 441.3 million drams - for direct taxes.

"Nairi Insurance" rose to 366th place (from 430th a year earlier),  having transferred 445.5 million drams to the state treasury, incl.  403 million drams - for direct taxes.

"Armenia Insurance" moved up 475th place (from 722nd a year earlier),  having paid 350.4 million drams to the state treasury, of which 329.1  million drams - for direct taxes.

Sil Insurance dropped to 945th place (from 896 a year earlier),  having directed 156.6 million drams to the state budget, of which  127.4 million drams - for direct taxes.

In the total volume of tax payments of 1,000 large taxpayers, the  share of the insurance sector on a y-o-y terms did not change,  amounting to 0.2% alone.

It should be noted that a year earlier (in January-September 2020)  the list was headed by Rosgosstrakh Armenia IC, followed by INGO  Armenia, Nairi Insurance, Armenia Insurance and Sil Insurance. In  total, for 9 months of 2020, the five insurance companies paid 1.6  billion drams to the state treasury, of which 1.4 billion drams - in  direct taxes. (The estimated exchange rate of the dram against the US  dollar as of September 30, 2021 was 484.20 AMD / $ 1).
