At the same time, on the intra-bank foreign exchange market during this period, the trend of dollar transactions turned towards a decline, the upward dynamics of euro transactions changed to multidirectional ones, and in ruble transactions, the preservation of the downtrend in sales was accompanied by a decline in purchases. The exchange currency platform has been idle for the fourth year already.
As a result, the dram began to strengthen against the dollar from October 18 to 22, 2021 - from 478 to 476.5 AMD / $ 1, "frozen" against the euro at the level of 554.5 AMD / 1EUR, while continuing to weaken against the ruble - from 6.7 to 6.8 AMD / 1 RUB. A year earlier, on October 22, 2020, the dram exchange rate against the dollar was 493.5 AMD / $ 1, against the euro - 586 AMD / 1 EUR, and against the ruble - 6.4 AMD / 1 RUB, which, in comparison with the current exchange rates, indicates an annual revaluation of the dram against the dollar and the euro, with a devaluation against the ruble.
As the press service of the RA Central Bank told ArmInfo, transactions in the foreign exchange market from October 18 to 22 amounted to $ 7.050 million at an average rate of 477.06 AMD / $ 1 (versus 478.90 AMD / $ 1 in the previous week). Moreover, during the reporting week, the foreign exchange interbank, having worked daily, "highlighted" the maximum volume on Friday - $ 2.9 million.
In parallel with this, on the intrabank foreign exchange market from October 18 to October 22, as compared to the previous period (October 11-15), the trend of buying and selling dollars reversed from an upward 12.7-17.8% to a downward 13.5-103%, a slowdown in growth purchases of euros from 14.6% to 0.6% were accompanied by a change in the dynamics of sales from 50.7% growth to 28.7% decline, and for ruble transactions, an acceleration of the decline in sales from 11.1% to 18.8% accompanied by the exit of the buying trend from the 10.5% decline to 6% growth. As a result, during the reporting period, $ 120.5 million was purchased at an average rate of 475.60 AMD / $ 1, 18.2 million euros at an average rate of 550.91 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.8 billion rubles at an average rate of 6.66 AMD / 1RUB, and sold $ 113.2 million at an average rate of 478.87 AMD / $ 1, 21.6 million euros at an average rate of 556.98 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.3 billion rubles at an average rate of 6.76 AMD / 1RUB.
