ArmInfo.A two-day meeting took place at SRC between a representative of the Revenue Agency of Italy, an OECD expert and SRC's working group in the context of Tax Inspectors without Borders Program to discuss the programs implemented in the sectors of transfer pricing and criminal investigation.
According to the press service of the SRC, Italy's current strategy of improving the campaign against tax fraud and a guide - developed by Italy's tax authority for the SRC - for carrying out transfer pricing inspections were presented.
Activities carried out in the two sectors between Armenia and Italy were summarized, and the prospect of cooperation in new areas was discussed.
To raise the effectiveness of fight against criminally punishable tax frauds, the OECD expert suggested expanding the boundaries of Tax Inspectors without Borders Programs, and holding sectoral seminars for SRC employees. It is planned to hold the seminars with assistance from OECD and US attache to Germany.
The cooperation between Italy's Revenue Agency and Armenia's State Revenue Committee started by signing of a memorandum of understanding on May 21, 2019.
Sectoral working groups established in the two authorities worked jointly to implement functional reforms of tax control processes in the sectors of criminal investigation, as well as transfer pricing.
It should be reminded that Tax Inspectors without Borders Program is a joint initiative of OECD and UNDP.
