"Despite the seemingly favorable market conditions, we remain facing with a number of challenges. World prices for energy and raw materials for aluminium production continued to rise, for some items prices have increased 4 to 5 times since the beginning of the year, which led to an increase in the cost of production of aluminium and alumina. The COVID-19 pandemic still provides turmoil among the markets. Nevertheless, RUSAL is increasing supplies to the domestic market: the share of sales in Russia and the CIS has grown to a record 29%. Together with our partners, we have introduced a number of new aluminium products to the Russian market such as cables, lighting poles, cast pipes and alloys for facade panels. The share of valueadded products in the Company's sales increased to a record level of 54%. The demand for our aluminium under the ALLOW brand remains high due to the global trend towards reducing carbon footprint. We are pleased that in the 5 years since the launch of the brand, sales have increased 5 times."
