Budget of Ministry of Economy of Armenia in 2022 will grow by about a  third

ArmInfo.The budget of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia in 2022 will grow by 26.9% compared to the adjusted budget for 2021. Minister of Finance of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan announced this on November 2 at the joint meetings of the  standing committees of the parliament during the preliminary hearings  of the state budget for 2022.

According to him, the financing of the department (including the  costs of maintaining the apparatus) is envisaged by the draft budget  for 2022 at the level of 41 billion 009 million drams. The amount is  8 billion 689 million drams more than the indicator approved by the  state budget for the current year (32 billion 319 million drams).

The funds will be used to implement 13 programs and 56 events. Thus,  1 billion 030.8 million drams will be allocated under the program for  the development of the accreditation system and the development of  standards, and 160.1 million drams for the SME support program. The  authorities will allocate about 660 million drams for the  implementation of the export stimulation program and investments, and  12 billion 828.7 million drams for the development of agriculture.

Within the framework of the program for the provision of veterinary  services, it is planned to allocate 2 billion 692 million drams, and  4 billion 593.5 million drams for the modernization of agriculture. 2  billion 289.6 million drams will be allocated for the restoration and  development of agricultural infrastructures, and 1 billion 019.4  million drams for the program for supporting rural infrastructures.

Within the framework of the tourism development program, funds in the  amount of 5 billion 979.2 million drams are planned, and 7 billion  drams for subsidizing interest rates on loans allocated to neutralize  the economic consequences of coronavirus infection.

To note, yesterday it was reported that next year the draft budget  envisages a reduction in financing of the Ministry of Emergency  Situations and an increase in the allocations of the RA Police and  the National Security Service.
