ArmInfo. Currently, Armenia is implementing subvention programs with a budget of over 48 billion drams, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said. On November 4, the Armenian government allocated 532 million drams to 9 regional administrations to finance construction work within the framework of subvention programs.
The Prime Minister noted that in 2018 a political decision was made that subsidy programs should become a key instrument for balanced territorial development. The essence of the subsidy programs, as the Prime Minister recalled, is as follows: the communities represent programs for the development of infrastructures and capital investments, which are then partly financed by the government, partly by the community.
According to Pashinyan, during 2018-2020, within the framework of subventions, 1193 programs were implemented in all regions. The total budget was over 47 billion drams. Content of projects: construction, repair, asphalting of roads; construction of water supply and sewerage systems; repair, overhaul, construction or repair of irrigation systems; construction, repair of street lighting; the establishment of renewable energy stations; gasification of apartments; construction of new kindergartens; construction, renovation of buildings, etc.
Analyzing the work done, as the head of government pointed out, it becomes obvious that today there should not be a single settlement where very specific, tangible subsidy programs would not be implemented. At the same time, according to him, the leaders in the subvention programs are the regions where the consolidation of communities has already become a reality.
"If in 2018-2020 we implemented a subsidy program worth more than 47 billion drams, then in 2021 alone 678 programs worth 48 billion 400 million drams are being implemented," the Prime Minister said. Thus, as Nikol Pashinyan pointed out, the total budget of subsidy programs implemented since 2018 exceeds $ 200 million.
