ArmInfo.France is ready to deepen relations with Armenia in the field of high technologies. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Anne Louyot stated this during a meeting with the Minister of High-Tech Industry Vahagn Khachatryan.
As reported by the press service of the department, Louyot noted that there are special relations between Armenia and France, and within the framework of its powers, the French embassy is ready to take the necessary steps to deepen them, advance for the benefit of the Armenian people and the development of Armenia.
She said that she got acquainted with Armenian start-ups and industry companies during her visit to DigiTec Expo 2021. In this context, the Ambassador emphasized that there is great potential in Armenia, which should be developed and awareness of Armenian IT products in France should be increased. In turn, the minister touched upon friendly and partnership relations between Armenia and France, directions and opportunities for further cooperation.
Khachatryan noted that the government's activity is based on the vision of a developed technological Armenia, in the direction of which the Ministry is working.
He said that in the field of high technologies France plays one of the leading roles in the world, and the introduction and application of French experience in the field of new technologies, production, retraining of specialists in Armenia can be important for our country.
It is reported that during the meeting, the parties discussed a number of opportunities to activate cooperation in the field of space technologies, telecommunications, digitalization, technological education, etc.
