ArmInfo. The revenue of the textile industry in Armenia increased in January-September 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 2.3-fold (against a 39.5% decline  a year earlier), amounting to 1.3 billion drams. As evidenced by the  data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, such  dynamics is due to a tangible increase in the production of fabrics  and bed linen.

According to the source, during the reporting period, Armenian  factories produced 18 tons of fabrics, which is 53.8% more than the  production volumes of the same period a year ago. At the same time,  the volume of bed linen production increased 3.3-fold - up to 112.1  thousand pieces.

An upward trend, but noticeably modest, was also registered in the  production of tights, leggings, socks and other hosiery - by 1.5% to  16,313.3 thousand pairs.

A decrease in volumes was observed in the production of carpets and  rugs - by 59.3% to 2.4 tons. The volume of production of jumpers,  pullovers, jackets, jackets (vests) or similar products (knitted /  crocheted) also decreased by 56.9% - to 2,316.9 thousand pieces.   According to statistics, in August 2021 alone, the revenue of the  textile industry decreased by 16.8%, amounting to 149.8 million  drams.
