Italy interested in discussing, implementing new investment programs  with Armenia, ambassador says 

ArmInfo. Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan has hosted Italian Ambassador to Armenia Alfonso Di Riso. 

Armenia's premier congratulated Mr Alfonso Di Riso on commencement of  his activities and wished him success in contributing to the further  development of friendly Armenian- Italian relations. He highlighted  steady progress in the bilateral political and economic cooperation.  Armenia's premier is sure joint efforts of the two governments will  produce results. 

Mr Pashinyan laid emphasis on developing the bilateral economic  relations by means of, among other things, business forums and  intensifying business ties. Armenia's premier recalled his official  visit to Italy in 2019 and highlighted bilateral mutual visits which  give new impetus to the expansion of cooperation in various fields. 

In his turn, Ambassador Alfonso Di Riso assured Premier Pashinyan  that, while in office, he will spare no effort to strengthen  bilateral cooperation. In this context, he stressed a need for  developing bilateral trade and economic ties. Italy is interested  discussing and implementing new investment programs in Armenia. 

The sides pointed out prospective expansion of cooperation in various  sectors of economy - hi-tech, tourism, construction, agriculture -  pointing out great potential. The two also discussed the  intensification of the Armenian-Italian intergovernmental  commission's activities, a possibility of the commission's meeting in  the near future, as well as cooperation in healthcare, justice, etc..
