As of November 20, 2021, tax collection in Armenia exceeded  pre-crisis index of 2019 by 4.5%

ArmInfo.According to the operative data of the Budget Office of the National Assembly of Armenia, as of November 20, tax revenues and state duty of the RA  state budget amounted to 1 trillion 355.2 billion drams, or 94.1% of  the approved index for the current year and 87.5% of the adjusted  index.

This is 10% or 123.2 billion drams more than the revenues of the  reporting period of the previous year.  Compared to 2019, the  increase amounted to 58.3 billion drams or 4.5%, and from 2018 - by  275.15 billion drams or 25.5%.

Transitional overpayments amounted to 4.1 billion drams, against  326.5 million drams in 2020, 136.8 billion drams in 2019 and 55.3  billion drams in 2018.

The Budget Office noted that according to the revised state budget in  2021, it is planned to collect 1 trillion 548.3 billion drams from  taxes, against 1 trillion 440 billion 136 million 839.5 thousand  drams, fixed in the law "On the state budget for 2021".

Meanwhile, according to the draft budget for 2022, approved by the  government and submitted to parliamentarians, tax revenues and duties  for the current year are expected to amount to 1 trillion 581.0  billion drams or 22.5% of GDP. And in 2022, according to the same  document, tax revenues are projected at 1 trillion 843.8 billion  drams (23.4% of GDP), which is 263 billion drams or 16.5% more than  the figure approved by the revised budget plan for 2021. Thus, tax  revenues in 2022 are expected to be 0.9 percentage points higher than  the 2021 level. Moreover, tax revenues in 2022 will exceed the level  of pre-crisis tax revenues in 2019 by AMD 380 billion (about $ 770  million, the estimated exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the US  dollar is 493.6 drams per $ 1.)
