ArmInfo. This morning, news about the cancellation of the Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan flights of Fly One, which were scheduled for December 15-16, was spread on the network. Passengers were sent in the their required destinations via flights of other companies. Moscow's refusal to accept Fly One aircraft was indicated as a possible reason.
In connection with this situation, the company issued an official statement, in which it explained the reasons for such circumstances, which the passengers faced.
"Due to the circumstances that have arisen beyond the control of FLYONE ARMENIA, including in connection with the concerns of the competent Russian authorities to counter the coronavirus pandemic, the company was forced to cancel flights in the direction of Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan. At the same time, the airline has ensured the possibility of fast and safe transportation of all passengers of the indicated flights to their destinations," the statement reads.
Moreover, FLYONE ARMENIA informs that the employees of the company are in constant and personal contact with all passengers of the above-mentioned flights for the proper provision of the full package of services. "Not a single passenger <remained on the street> and will not remain"," the source assures.
It was also noted that the airline's flights to other destinations will be carried out according to the previously announced schedule.
<FLYONE ARMENIA apologizes for the inconvenience caused and makes and will make every possible effort to solve the existing problems as soon as possible, "the company said.
It should be reminded that in May this year it became known that the Armenian multi-profile concern SIL Group, together with the Moldovan FlyOne airline, is establishing a new airline, FLYONE ARMENIA. On October 27, 2021, the CAA ARMENIA (Civil Aviation Committee) issued an Air Operator Certificate to FLYONE ARMENIA. The company was assigned a two-character IATA 3F code and a three-character ICAO FIE code. The airline's fleet consists of the Airbus A320 Family aircraft, which are designed for 180 seats and comply with all International Air Transport Association (IATA) and EASA Security standards. In a pandemic, aircraft are equipped with HEPA air filters that kill 99.97% of viruses and bacteria. At the end of November this year, the company announced the launch of air ticket sales in 7 priority directions: Moscow, Tehran, Lyon, Tel Aviv, Krasnodar, Kutaisi, Tbilisi and Istanbul.
Today's flight to Moscow was supposed to be the first.
