
ArmInfo.In 2022, Yerevan's own revenues will grow by 3.8 billion drams compared to 2021. The Yerevan Municipality administration presented a draft budget for the next financial year.
Thus, according to the document, in 2022, the revenue part of the budget of Yerevan will amount to 94.6 billion drams, against 92 billion 420 million drams approved for 2021 and 107 billion 120 million drams in actual for 2020, expenditure - 98.8 billion drams, instead of 110 billion 777 million drams for the current year and 116 billion 233 million for 2020. The deficit will be reduced from 8 billion 356 million drams to 4.2 billion drams.
The growth of own income, according to the Yerevan Municipality, will ensure the implementation of more programs for an equivalent amount. In particular, it is planned to purchase buses and elevators, repair kindergartens, medical institutions, and increase green spaces.
Thus, about 5.8 billion drams are allocated for the overhaul of kindergartens. Within the framework of this budget, 22 kindergartens will be renovated. It is noted that 52 kindergartens have been renovated from 2018 to the present day.
The funds allocated from the community budget to medical institutions subordinate to the Yerevan municipality will be doubled - up to 500 million drams. Major repairs will be carried out in 4 medical institutions. From 2018 to the present day, 28 medical institutions have been renovated at the expense of the municipal budget's own revenues.
In 2022, the city hall promises to install 100 new elevators. According to the document, 3,500 elevators are currently in need of replacement in apartment buildings in Yerevan. In 2019-2020, 520 elevators have already been replaced with new ones, and in 2021 - another 100. As a result of the overfulfillment of the community budget for 2021, instead of the 100 planned elevators, it is planned to replace 280 elevators. As a result, the number of new elevators for 2019-2022 will reach about 1000.
In 2022, public transport will be "enriched" with 100 new buses of 8.6m length. During 2020-2021, 311 buses of 2 types were purchased: 6.6 m and 8.6 m long.
The Yerevan Municipality also plans to increase the rates for certain staff members in preschool institutions. The increase in wages will be phased. Resources will be provided for a consistent increase in the green spaces of the capital, as well as for the construction of a new landfill, for which it is planned to attract credit funds, including by the RA government.
The draft budget plans to change the rates of local duties. In particular, the duties for liquefied and compressed gas, as well as tariffs for gasoline at filling stations, will be revised. The duty will be increased by 600,000 drams on an annual terms.
