ArmInfo. The Ministry of Economy is most concerned over the continuing import of Turkish goods to Armenia, RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told a news briefing as he presented the results of Armenia`s sanctions against Turkish goods after the 44-day war in Karabakh.
He reported that Armenia`s imports from Turkey totaled $260mln last year, with Armenia`s exports to Turkey estimated at $2 to $3mln. By the end of this year, imports of Turkish goods to Armenia had declined 10 times, with no Armenian exports to Turkey recorded.

In the context of normalization of relations with Turkey, the minister stressed the process implies reciprocal steps. "We are not considering unilateral re-opening or borders. Most detailed discussions of unblocking must be held," he said.
Armenia banned imports of Turkish goods after Turkey rendered military assistance to Azerbaijan during the Karabakh war last autumn.
