Electricity generation in Armenia decreased by 2% in 11 months

ArmInfo.Electricity generation in Armenia in January- November 2021 amounted to 6 848.4 million kWh, with a y-o-y decline of 2% (against an increase of 1.8%  a year earlier). This is evidenced by the data of the Statistical  Committee of the Republic of Armenia, according to which in November  alone, electricity generation increased by 17.6% - up to 685.2  million kWh.

According to statistics, in January-November 2021, TPPs increased  electricity generation by 5.1% per annum - up to 3,000 million kWh,  HPPs - by 25.5% to 2,085.4 million kWh.

At the same time, the Armenian NPP, on the contrary, reduced  electricity generation by 31.6% - to 1,679.6 million kWh.

At the same time, a decrease in the volume of heat energy production  was recorded by 65.3% - to 11.3 thousand gigajoules.

Wind farms also reduced their electricity generation - by 38.9% to  1.1 million kWh.

And solar power plants continue to significantly increase the  generation of electricity - 4.2-fold to 82.3 million kWh.
