ArmInfo. In Armenia in January-November 2021, 33,587 children were born, which is 0.7% higher than a year ago, and in a two-year context, the growth was 1.9%. According to the RA Statistical Committee, the birth rate per 1000 inhabitants at the end of the reporting period amounted to 12.4 ppm, against 12.3 ppm in 2020 and 12.2 ppm in 2019.
According to the source, 31,713 people died in Armenia during the reporting period, which is 0.4% higher than the same period last year, and in comparison with 2019, the growth turned out to be more significant - 33.3%. The death rate in the country was 11.7 ppm, as in the previous year, against 8.8 ppm in 2019.
The absolute value of natural population growth was 1,874 people, which is 6.1% higher than a year ago and 79.6% lower than the level of 2019. The natural population growth rate was 0.7 ppm, against -0.1 ppm in the same period in 2020 and 3.4 ppm in 2019.
