ArmInfo.The Armenian nuclear-power plant (NPP) has taken out another loan, AMD 6bln ($12,516,609 at the current exchange rate), from the government to repay and serve the loans previously received for extending the NPP operation.
Armenia's Cabinet approved a relevant decision on Thursday.
Under an Armenian-Russian intergovernmental agreement, Russia issued a $300mln government loan (a $270mln loan and a $30mln grant) to Armenia for modernizing the second power unit of the Armenian NPP. By the end of February 2020, the Armenian side had utilized $200mln.
