ArmInfo.By the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, a working group will be established for the effective implementation of work on the program for the construction of small-medium reservoirs.
According to Pashinyan's decision of January 14, published on the government's official website, the group will be headed by the Prime Minister's adviser, former Ambassador of Armenia to Iran Artashes Tumanyan. It will include the Deputy Minister of Economy, Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, the head of the Water Committee and his deputy, as well as others.
In September 2021, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, speaking at the Armenian Business Forum 2021 in Yerevan, also named infrastructure development among the government's priorities. According to him, in this regard, the authorities intend to start or complete the construction of 15 reservoirs in the next 5 years, in addition, it is planned to repair at least 500 km of roads a year. On October 25, presenting the draft law "On the RA State Budget for 2022" in the Parliament, the head of government pointed out, that next year Armenia will spend 32% more on infrastructure development than in 2021 - up to more than 278 billion drams.
