Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine topped list of largest taxpayers  in Armenia

ArmInfo.According to the results of 2021, the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine topped the list of the largest taxpayers in Armenia. According to the published  data of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the  enterprise sent 48.8 billion drams to the state treasury (with a  y-o-y growth of 17.2%), of which 1.7 billion drams - for customs  duties, 20.1 billion drams - for direct taxes (incl.  profit tax,  income tax), 1.6 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT,  excise tax).

The second place, as in the previous year, was occupied by Gazprom  Armenia CJSC, having paid 47.8 billion drams to the state budget  (with a y-o-y growth of 5%), of which 194.2 million drams for customs  duties, 4.7 billion drams for direct taxes ( incl. profit tax, income  tax), 41.9 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise  tax).

In third place is the Office of the Ministry of Defense of the  Republic of Armenia (state agencies began to appear in this list from  2021), which allocated 42.6 billion drams to the state budget, of  which 35.9 billion drams were for direct taxes (incl. profit tax,  income tax ), 5.2 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT,  excise tax).

According to the results of 2021, Grand Tobacco JV in 4th place  (against the 1st year earlier) having paid 42.2 billion drams to the  state treasury (with a y-o-y decline of 16.8%), of which 30.5 billion  drams - for indirect taxes ( incl.VAT, excise tax) and 1.4 billion  drams - for customs duties.

According to the results of the reporting year, GeoPromining closes  the top five (against the 4th place a year earlier). The company's  contributions to the state budget amounted to 20.8 billion drams  (with a y-o-y decline of 9.5%), of which 838 million drams were for  customs duties, 7.1 billion drams- on direct taxes, 841 million drams  - on indirect taxes.

In total, these five companies together paid 202.3 billion drams to  the state budget through taxes (with a y- o-y growth of 12.6%), of  which 78.8 billion - in direct taxes (incl. profit tax, income tax),  which is higher indicator of a year ago by 77.8%, and 80.2 billion  drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax) with a y-o-y  decline of 19.6%.

After the 5 leaders in the top ten, there are International Masis  Tobacco (6th place, against 5th a year earlier), Oil Corporation CPS  (7th place, against 6th a year earlier), MTS Armenia (8th place,  against 10th a year earlier), "Flash" oil-trader (9th place, against  7th a year earlier), Teghout CJSC (10th place, against 42nd a year  earlier) ).

According to the State Revenue Committee, the 1000 largest taxpayers  in Armenia paid 1.2 trillion drams to the state treasury in 2021,  which is 22.2% higher than in 2020.

It should be noted that according to the results of 2020, the TOP-5  included Grand Tobaco JV, Gazprom Armenia CJSC, Zangezur  Copper-Molybdenum Plant CJSC, GeoPromining and International Masis  Tobacco. In total, they transferred 179.7 billion drams to the state  budget (with a y-o-y decline of 4.3%), of which 44.3 billion - for  direct taxes (with a y-o-y decline of 12.3%), and 99.7 billion drams  - for indirect taxes (with a y-o-y 11.2% decline). (The settlement  exchange rate of the dram as of December 31, 2021 was 480.14 AMD/$1).
