ArmInfo. The metallurgical industry of Armenia grew by 18.3% in 2021 due to the progressive growth in the production of castings from non-alloyed (carbon) steel  and ferromolybdenum, against the backdrop of a decrease in volumes in  the line of all other metals produced in the country. According to  the results of the previous 2020, the industry recorded a decline of  0.4%.

According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, during the  reporting period, the production of copper concentrate decreased by  1.1% (against a decline of 6.1% in 2020), amounting to 371.4 thousand  tons. In January-December 2001, 33,480.8 tons of aluminum foil were  produced in the country, which is 5.6% lower than a year ago (against  an increase of 16.2% in 2020).

The production of steel pipes, hollow profiles and fittings decreased  by 6.5% in 2021 (against a 1.6-fold increase in 2020), amounting to  17.399.3 tons.

Castings from unalloyed (carbon) steel were produced in 2021 in the  amount of 115.148.5 tons, which is 8.4-fold higher than a year ago,  instead of a decline of 7.3% a year earlier.
