ArmInfo.According to the results of 2021, 33,480.8 tons of aluminum foil were produced in Armenia. Thus, for the fourth time, the Armenal plant exceeds the 30.000 mark in terms of aluminum foil output (in 2017 - 33.724 tons, in 2019 - 30.547 tons, in 2020 - 35,481.9 tons, ed. note)
At the same time, according to the data of the Statistical Committee, a decrease in production volumes by 5.6% was registered over the year, instead of an increase of 16.2% in 2020.
However, in December 2021 alone, 2.663.3 tons of aluminum foil were produced, which is 4.9% less than in November 2021.
In 2020, the production of aluminum foil in Armenia increased by 16.2% (against an increase of 7.7% in 2019), amounting to 35,481.9 thousand tons.
In H12021 Armenia exported 17.1 thousand tons of aluminum foil, which is 0.7% lower than a year ago (against 3% growth a year earlier). However, in monetary terms, foil exports showed an increase of 19.7% per annum - up to $54.8 million.
According to the data of the RA Customs Service, foil was mainly exported to Germany (33.9%), USA (20.7%) and Poland (13.5%), as well as to the Netherlands (9.1%), France (6 .8%), Italy (5.2%), Spain (3.9%), the United Kingdom (2.3%), the rest fell on Austria, Israel, Canada, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Russian Federation.
