Production volumes of Armenia`s textile industry increased 2.1-fold  in year

ArmInfo.The production volumes of Armenia's textile industry have increased 2.1-fold in a year, providing production volumes in the amount of 1.9 billion drams  (over $3.7 million). 

A year earlier, the segment registered a rather serious decline of  31.6%. According to the data of the Statistical Committee of Armenia,  the main reason for such dynamics in the industry was a sharp  increase in the production of bed linen (2-fold to 125.7 thousand  pieces), fabrics, the volume of which for the reporting period  amounted to 23 tons, which is 49.4% higher than the indicator of a  year ago. 

The production of tights, legends, socks, other products of socks  (22394.1 thousand pairs, 16.2% per year) and the production of shoes  (182478 pairs per year 9.7%) also increased.

At the same time, Armenian factories reduced the volume of production  of carpets and carpet products over the year - by 55.4% to 3.3 tons,  as well as jumpers, pullovers, jackets, jackets (vests) or similar  products (knitted or knitted), which were produced in the amount of 2  935.3 thousand pieces, with a y-o-y decline of 67.1%.
