ArmInfo. Investments in the construction of a large greenhouse complex near Lake Sevan will amount to 48 million euros. On February 17, the Government of Armenia agreed to the alienation of 51.4146868 hectares of land belonging to the Sevan community of the Gegharkunik region of the Republic of Armenia through direct sale to Eduard Ohanyan.
As Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan said at the meeting, GREEN SOLUTIONS LLC, founded by Eduard Ohanyan, expressed a desire to implement an investment program with a budget of 48 million euros. Within the framework of the program, a greenhouse complex will be built on the territory of the settlements of Lchashen and Varser, which are located near Lake Sevan. In general, according to the results of the transaction, 22 million drams will be transferred to the community budget.
The investment program will be implemented on more than 110 hectares, of which 2.7 hectares are allocated to the industrial zone, and the service infrastructure will be located on the rest of the territory. The construction works will last for 60 months, during which about 350-400 jobs will be opened, and after the completion of the construction works, 400-450 permanent jobs will be opened, about 75% of which will be for women. The annual volume of production will be about 12 thousand tons of vegetables, of which 80% will be exported.
According to the state register of legal entities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the LLC was established less than a year ago - on September 7, 2021. There is no free access to information about the owners of these companies.
