ArmInfo. A large bus fleet will be built on the outskirts of Yerevan. The construction program was approved on February 17 at a government meeting.
As stated in the explanation to the document, within the framework of the Sustainable Urban Development Investment Program financed by the Asian Development Bank, it is planned to build a new fleet of buses running on compressed natural gas in the territory located behind the intersection of Shirak and Arshakunyats streets of the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan. Construction works include: parking lot, gas station, laundry, administrative building, service building, etc. The territory will accommodate about 100 buses, which are purchased under an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as 211 new buses purchased at the expense of the Yerevan Municipality, as part of a program to improve the metropolitan transport network.
The amount set for the implementation of processes within the framework of the program is estimated at about 1 billion 350 million 105 thousand 89 drams (about $2.8 million).
