Applications for subvention programmes worth AMD 78.2bln submitted in  2022

ArmInfo.Armenia's government allocated a total of AMD 1.435bln (over $2.9mln) on Wednesday for completion of 15 subvention programmes launched in 2020 and 2021 in  13 communities. 

The funds will be allocated to regional administrations for meeting  their financial commitments to construction companies. The funds will  be allocated to the following regional administrations: Aragatsotn  (AMD 4mln), Ararat (AMD 42.5mln), Armavir (AMD 28mln), Gegharkunik  (AMD 145mln), Lori (AMD 38mln), Shirak (AMD 23mln) and Syunik (AMD  1.181bln). 

Minister of Territorial Administration Gnel Sanosyan said that the  AMD 1.181bln will be directed to an energy efficiency programme in 25  residential buildings in Kajaran. The Armenian government's share is  70%, the UNDP's share is 25%, with only 5% of the funds to be  provided by the local community. Of this, the Zangezur  copper-and-molybdenum plant's share is 2.5%. 

The minister said that 447 of the 620 subvention programmes launched  in 2021 have been completed. This year 457 applications have been  received (with 173 of them for construction and renovation of  kindergartens) worth a total of AMD 78.2bln, which is not a final  amount.

On November 18, 2021, Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan reported that  Armenia's government had allocated abut $400mln to communities'  socio-economic development since 2018.
