ArmInfo. Russia needs guarantees that the supplied grain will not be exported to third countries. With the exclusion of such risks, it is ready to supply the necessary amount of food.Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan stated this on March 23 during a briefing.
"There is no shortage of food products in the EAEU. Another thing is if one of the countries starts exporting intensively, then we may face such a problem. Russia has proposed to all countries (the EAEU - ed. note) to close external contours, exports from the country, and under this condition they ready to supply the necessary amount of food," Kerobyan explained.
If all countries agree, then, according to the minister, at the level of the EAEU, external borders will be closed, the path of internal trade will be completely cut off. "However, if some countries, for example, Kazakhstan, which also exports grain, do not agree, then this issue will be resolved bilaterally (between Armenia and Russia - ed. note)," the head of the Ministry of Economy said, adding that the issue will be resolved within a few days.
