
ArmInfo.The trade turnover of agro-food products between Armenia and Russia in 2021 increased by 19.8% to $903.1 million, with an increase in exports from Armenia to the Russian Federation by 24.7% to $543.3 million, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia reports, referring to the results meeting between Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan and Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Petrushev.
According to the source, during the meeting, the parties discussed further prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the agro-industrial sector. It was mutually emphasized that cooperation in this area has a significant potential for development.
It is reported that Vahan Kerobyan and Dmitry Patrushev agreed that the organization of a direct dialogue in the field of the agro-industrial complex is currently of particular importance, since it contributes to ensuring the food security of the two countries. At the same time, the parties touched upon the possibility of organizing mutual visits of agricultural producers.
