
ArmInfo.Following the results of 2021, Armenia entered the TOP-5 export partners of the Republic of Crimea. On April 19 during the Crimea-Armenia-Belarus video bridge, Irina Kiviko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea - Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea announced.
In this context, she said that the share of exports to the Armenian market amounted to 1.5% in the reporting period. "Ukraine remains the leader in export operations with a share of 44%, followed by Belarus - 21.5%, small shares fall on the markets of China and Kazakhstan, and Armenia closes the top 5 leaders with a share of 1.5%," the minister said. In parallel, she pointed to the growth in exports of services. As Irina Kiviko noted, according to the results of the business mission of the Crimean delegation to Armenia in 2021 and 2022, 7 contracts were concluded with Armenian partners, 5 of which relate to the tourism sector, and another 2 to the production sector.
Speaking about flights, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea said that at this stage, negotiations are underway with private companies to launch direct flights from Simferopol to Yerevan and Minsk. At the same time, Kiviko noted that in order to develop cooperation in the tourism sector, the concept of the "Silk Road" is being developed, which will start from Armenia and end in the Crimea. In turn, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako added that Armenian and Crimean entrepreneurs have established business ties for the supply of dairy products, as well as electrical equipment and organic fertilizers. During the press conference, it was also noted that according to the results of 2021, the export activities of the Republic of Crimea increased by 7% per annum, amounting to about $45 million.
