ArmInfo.Armenia's authorities will introduce cash-back on cashless deals by pensioners and people receiving benefits. Next week the beneficiaries will get 10% cash-back (up to AMD 5000 or about $10) on their cards in effecting payments by mans of card of partner-banks.
At a Cabinet meeting on May 18, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan said that cash- back will also be effect in utilities payments by mans of POS and ATMs
The government will release a list of partner banks before June 1 for citizens to choose among them.
The pilot project will last for six months. 80% of pensioners are expected to become project beneficiaries. A total of AMD 5.66bln will b allocated from the state budget.
