
ArmInfo. Despite certain problems, Yerevan can become a new address for the talented Russian-speaking sector. RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan stated this in an interview to the First TV channel.
According to him, today not only IT specialists, who already number in tens of thousands, but also representatives of agriculture, industry, etc. have moved to live in Armenia on a temporary or permanent basis, he said, noting that the flow of relocation continues.
In this context, Kerobyan said that recently, together with the McKinsey & Company international consulting company, a study was conducted, as a result of which 10 sets of questions were identified to improve the existing environment, which relate to business onboarding, commercial and residential real estate, financial infrastructures, etc.
The minister noted that these 10 sets contain 50 measures aimed at increasing the competitiveness and attractiveness of Yerevan and Armenia as a place for talented people to live. "And we are working in this direction," he said. It should be reminded that Hayk Chobanyan, Executive Director of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), noted earlier that according to the latest data, about 70,000 people moved to live in Armenia because of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. At the same time, 1,300 companies are registered, of which the lion's share is in the IT sector.
It should be noted that according to the Agency of the State Register of Legal Entities, from February 24 to April 22, 752 LLCs, 6 CJSCs, 4 funds were registered in Armenia with the participation of individuals and / or legal entities of citizens of the Russian Federation, and 1563 citizens of the Russian Federation were registered as individual entrepreneurs. Citizens of the Republic of Belarus registered 29 LLCs, 6 CJSCs, 4 foundations, 60 individual entrepreneurs. Citizens of Ukraine registered 11 LLCs and 14 individual entrepreneurs.
