ArmInfo. On June 2, a FlyArystan airliner of the Kazakh company landed at the Zvartnots international airport, carrying out for the first time a direct flight from Almaty  to the capital of Armenia, the city of Yerevan.  From now on, flights  will be carried out by Airbus -320 comfortable economy class  airliners twice a week - on Mondays and Thursdays, the cost of a  ticket, depending on the choice of services provided, starts from  46,000 drams (one way).

According to deputy director of the Zvartnots airport Sergey  Avetisyan, Almaty was the most popular destination for the citizens  of Armenia, however, for one reason or another, it was not possible  to connect the city with a direct connection. At the same time, he  expressed hope that the launch of the flight would be justified from  the point of view of tourist flows.  Ambassador Extraordinary and  Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia Bolat  Imanbayev stated that the launch of the flight on the anniversary of  the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations  between Armenia and Kazakhstan is significant. According to him, the  opening of this direction is of great importance within the framework  of multifaceted cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan in the  political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors, and  also attached importance in terms of stimulating tourism.  Noting the  dynamic development of bilateral cooperation, Imanbayev pointed to  the confidential exchange of views and high-level dialogue between  Armenia and Kazakhstan. Answering a question from an ArmInfo  correspondent, he said that another flight is currently being  developed - a direct flight between Kazakhstan and Armenia, which  will be operated by FlyArnsta.  In this regard, FlyArystan Ground  Handling Director Daniyar Uskenbayev, answering a question from  ArmInfo, noted that Yerevan was a very important point for the  development of the route network. he  stressed.  It should be noted that Minister of Territorial  Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Gnel  Sanosyan and Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia  Armen Arzumanyan were present during the landing of the plane from  Almaty to Yerevan.  There were also journalists and bloggers from  Kazakhstan on the plane, who, within the framework of a 4- day tour,  intend to reveal the tourism potential of Armenia for Kazakhstani  citizens.  According to the RA Statistical Committee, in 2021, 5,451  tourists from Kazakhstan arrived in Armenia, which is 2.4 times  higher than the indicator of a year ago.

It should be noted that FlyArystan is the first low-cost airline in  Kazakhstan and Eurasia, the first flight of which was carried out in  May 2019. Today, the FlyArystan fleet has 11 Airbus A320 aircraft,  which daily make more than 60 flights throughout Kazakhstan and  abroad.
