RA MFA expenses in 2021 exceeded 2020 expenses by AMD 240 Million

ArmInfo.The actual expenses of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia amounted to 17 billion 090 million drams, thus exceeding last year's figure by 240 million  drams.  Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia Tigran  Khachatryan stated this on June 6 at the National Assembly during a  preliminary discussion of the implementation of the state budget for  2021.

According to him, in 2021 it was originally planned to allocate 18  billion 240.7 million drams from the state budget. However, as a  result of the adjustments, only 17 billion 427.3 million drams were  allocated.  "Initially, it was planned to implement 6 programs with  19 activities, but in fact only 18 were completed. 

The feasibility in relation to the adjusted plan was 98.1%. Compared  to 2020, expenses increased by 240 million drams or 1.4%, Khachatryan  said.

2 billion 197 million drams were allocated for membership fees in  international organizations through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.   According to the state budget for 2022, the Ministry of Foreign  Affairs of Armenia (including the cost of maintaining the  administrative apparatus) will be allocated approximately 412 million  or 2.26% more funds than was approved by the law "On the State Budget  of the Republic of Armenia for 2021" - from 18 billion 240 million  drams to 18 billion 653.1 million drams. The funds will be provided  for the implementation of 5 programs with 8 activities. In  particular, within the framework of the program of cooperation with  international organizations (membership payments), 4.47% more will be  allocated in 2022 - from 2 billion 197 million drams, the budget will  increase to 2 billion 295.3 million drams (of which about 200  thousand euros are debts, accumulated in previous years). Armenia is  a member of 106 organizations and platforms.  The cost of official  functions will amount to 185 million 998 thousand drams.
