ArmInfo.This June, Haypost, Armenia's national operator, is launching a universal postal service system, Hayk Kirakosyan, Haypost Director General, said at the Birth of New Post event on the occasion of presentation of the platform and summing up of Haypost last year's activities.
The application was developed using the blockchain technology, which ensures data retention, rules out any intervention.
Mr Karapetyan said that Haypost, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and Armenia's Parliament, will do its best to launch the system as soon as possible.
The application was developed by the iNovation company. Artur Harutyunyan, CEO, said that the work at the application is nearing completion. The new application will provide online access to postal services to individuals, government agencies and businesses.
The blockchain technology enables at least 1,500 transactions a minute.
"We can bring this number up to 15,000 transactions a minute," Mr Harutyunyan said.
Grigor Bagbadulyan, Grigor Baghdagulyan, Head of Product Management and Development Department, said the application will include all the services.
"The application will enable e-courier call, parcel tracking, and so on," he said.
The "new post" enables receiving and forwarding e-mail.
"This application will become part of our everyday life," Baghdagulyan said.
In response to ArmInfo's question, he said that automation will cause staff reduction. However, the staff will requalify to be involved in new business processes. The innovation team started working at the new application last October. Attending the presentation were Armenian Parliament Vic-Speaker Hakob Arshakyan, Minister of High- Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan and Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission Garegin Baghramyan.
iNovation was incorporated last February as a subsidiary of Haypost. The company is a developer of software for Haypost and other companies, web applications and corporate systems.
HayPost CJSC is the national postal operator of the Republic of Armenia. Starting from 1992, HayPost CJSC is a member of the Universal Postal Union, a specialized agency of the United Nations, representing Armenia in the field of international postal cooperation. HayPost CJSC has more than 850 post offices throughout the Republic of Armenia, providing postal, corporate, and financial services.
