Haypost announces universal postal service system

ArmInfo. This June, Haypost, Armenia's national operator, is launching a universal postal service system, Hayk Kirakosyan, Haypost Director General, said at the Birth  of New Post event on the occasion of presentation of the platform and  summing up of Haypost last year's activities.

The application was developed using the blockchain technology, which  ensures data retention, rules out any intervention.

Mr Karapetyan said that Haypost, in cooperation with the Ministry of  Justice and Armenia's Parliament, will do its best to launch the  system as soon as possible.

The application was developed by the iNovation company. Artur  Harutyunyan, CEO, said that the work at the application is nearing  completion. The new application will provide online access to postal  services to individuals, government agencies and businesses.

The blockchain technology enables at least 1,500 transactions a  minute.

"We can bring this number up to 15,000 transactions a minute," Mr  Harutyunyan said.

Grigor Bagbadulyan, Grigor Baghdagulyan, Head of Product Management  and Development Department, said the application will include all the  services.

"The application will enable e-courier call, parcel tracking, and so  on," he said.

The "new post" enables receiving and forwarding e-mail.

"This application will become part of our everyday life,"  Baghdagulyan said.

In response to ArmInfo's question, he said that automation will cause  staff reduction. However, the staff will requalify to be involved in  new business processes. The innovation team started working at the  new application last October.  Attending the presentation were  Armenian Parliament Vic-Speaker Hakob Arshakyan, Minister of High-  Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan and Chairman of the Public Services  Regulatory Commission Garegin Baghramyan.

iNovation was incorporated last February as a subsidiary of Haypost.   The company is a developer of software for Haypost and other  companies, web applications and corporate systems.
