ArmInfo. There is a restriction on staying in Armenia for no more than six months without registration. But now the authorities are working to soften this requirement. Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan stated this in an interview with TASS.
In this context, he noted that since the beginning of March, almost 30,000 citizens of the Russian Federation have moved to Yerevan for long-term residence. After moving, these people, according to Kerobyan, opened accounts, established more than 1.2 thousand companies and individual entrepreneurs in Armenia.
In addition, the Russians, as he noted, are changing the social image of the country, have founded an environmental movement, develop a culture of reviews on websites, etc. The tax and other authorities are trying in every possible way to help the relocated business, and the banking system of Armenia, in full compliance with the sanctions requirements, does not refuse Russian companies to work in Armenia. "We always try to find a solution that satisfies everyone, of course, without making any sanctions threats. As a result, more than 70,000 accounts of Russian citizens are already opened in Armenian banks", he noted.
