VTB to launch pilot project for cross-border transfers of individuals  through FPS in autumn

ArmInfo. VTB plans to launch a pilot project for cross-border transfers of individuals to the CIS countries through the Faster Payments System (FPS) this autumn.   Anatoly Pechatnikov, Deputy Chairman-Mgmt Board at VTB Bank, said  this in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

In this regard, he noted that today the share of FPS in the total  volume of transfers between individuals in Russia already exceeds  70%. ,  all you need is the recipient's phone number. We expect that on the  horizon of three years, the FPS will account for up to half of all  cross-border transfers to those countries that support the  technology>, he said.  As a VTB representative noted, the transfers  will be available in rubles, the correspondent bank will convert them  into the national currency, the amount of the commission will be  approved additionally.  Transfers will be made through the  application using a phone number to an account opened in VTB partner  countries.  According to Pechatnikov, the second alternative will be  the transfer to neighboring countries by card number. The Bank's  clients will be able to use this service already in the third  quarter.
