
ArmInfo.Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with government members on the problems of grape processing in the country. It was reported that in recent years, the volume of brandy exports from Armenia has increased significantly, similar trends are observed with grape wine. The volume of consumption of the latter is also increasing in the territory of the republic.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, in this context, the expected crop volumes this year, the organization of the procurement process, work with farms and enterprises were touched upon.
It was noted that within the framework of the state subsidy program, a contract for procurement of about 97 thousand tons of grapes was signed between producers and suppliers, the process is continuous.
The importance of daily consistent work to solve possible problems and assist purchasing companies within the framework of the government's toolkit in order to increase exports was emphasized.
It was emphasized that in the near future the government will take an initiative to optimize export customs duties.
Pashinyan stressed the importance of consistently increasing the volume of exports of brandy and wine from Armenia and noted that the government will continue to keep this issue in the spotlight.
