Over 500 Armenian servicemen to benefit from soft lending programme

ArmInfo.Over 500 Armenian servicemen will benefit from a soft lending programme. Armenia's government has approved a relevant decision. 

Armenia's Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan stated that all  the officers and non-commissioned officers who will apply this year  will be allowed to benefit from a long-term soft mortgage lending  programme for purchasing or constructing housing. "If the project is  approved, 526 servicemen will receive the necessary references.  Priority will also be given to servicemen admitted to military  schools before July 1, 2022, and enlisted to post-academic service in  case they apply within five years after completing their education,"  he said. 

Armenia's Vice-Premier Hambardzum Matevosyan noted that government  subsidies will be 10% of the principal sum and 3% of the 7% interest  rate. 

"In 2022, 1,018 servicemen have applied for the programme, with 492  certificates issued in a priority order.  The rest 526 service will  receive certificates in the project is approved," he said.
