4.5% increase in proceeds of Armenia`s communication sector in first  half 2022

ArmInfo.  In the first half of 2022, the proceeds of Armenia`s communication service system totaled AMD 73.965bln or $158mln  - a year-on-year increase of 4.5%.

The telecommunications sector's proceeds totaled AMD 67.826 bln or  $145mln (91.7%of the total proceeds) - a 6% increase against a 4.7%  increase. The shares of Internet and mobile communication in the  telecommunication sector's proceeds are AMD 32.6bln and AMD 19.4bln  (48% and 29% respectively) in the first half of 2022, with a  respective increase of 4.5% and 0.6% (against 8.1% and 2.3% last  year). 

This June alone, the communication sector`s proceeds totaled AMD  12.8bln, with an 0.8% monthly increase against 1.3% this May and 0.9%  decline last June). 

The telecommunication sector's turnover totaled AMD 11.8bln this June  (a 1.6% increase against 1.3% this May and 6.4% decline last June).  The Internet market's proceeds totaled AMD 5.6bln (a 0.3% decline),  with the proceeds of the mobile communication sector totaling AMD  3.6bln (an 8.5% increase) against a decline of 6.2% and 4.1%  respectively last June.  

Last January-June, the proceeds of Armenia's communication sector  exceeded AMD 70.9bln, with AMD 64.1bln (90.4%) ensured by the  telecommunication sector. The proceeds of the Internet and mobile  communication markets totaled AMD 31.1bln and AMD 19.6bln  respectively.
