
ArmInfo. On August 23, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to establish and distribute tariff quotas for a number of types of meat products and whey for 2023. This was reported by the press service of the EEC.
, Deputy Director of the Tariff and Non-Tariff Customs Regulation Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission Natalia Samoilova recalled. According to the forecast, this year a negative difference between the volumes of production and consumption of products is expected in the following amount: for cattle meat in the amount of 177.3 thousand tons, pork - 62.3 thousand tons, poultry meat - 242.2 thousand tons, and whey- 14.6 thousand tons. Tariff quotas for the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation for 2023, are set in the amounts fixed in the protocols on the accession of states to the WTO. Tariff quotas for the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic, are determined within the difference between production and consumption, taking into account the volumes requested by the parties.
Thus, the quotas for cattle meat will be 11.3 thousand tons for the Republic of Armenia, 21 thousand tons - for the Republic of Kazakhstan, 5 thousand tons - for the Kyrgyz Republic and 570 thousand tons - for the Russian Federation. Quotas for pork, will be distributed in the following volumes: 7.5 thousand tons for the Republic of Armenia, 20 thousand tons for the Republic of Belarus and 3 thousand tons for the Kyrgyz Republic.
Quotas for poultry meat and its by-products will amount to 39.1 thousand tons for the Republic of Armenia, 10.9 thousand tons - for the Republic of Belarus, 140 thousand tons - for the Republic of Kazakhstan, 58 thousand tons - for the Kyrgyz Republic and 364 thousand tons - for the Russian Federation.
The quota for the import of milk whey is set for the Republic of Armenia in the amount of 1.2 thousand tons and the Russian Federation in the amount of 15 thousand tons
