ArmInfo.Deutsche Telekom AG, a German telecommunications company that is headquartered in Bonn, plans to launch activities in Armenia. On August 30, the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) hosted a delegation of Deutsche Telekom AG led by Mathijs Dijkhuizen, a member of the Telecom IT Leadership team.
The Telecom IT Leadership representatives announced their intention to carry out activities in Armenia, particularly in the IT sector.
At the delegation's request, the UMBA members briefed them on Armenia's economic environment, laws and advantages, particularly in the country's IT sector.
Armen Baldryan, CEO at UNICOMP CJSC, pointed out that Armenia's leading IT companies continue expanding their activities, with new companies being founded, including ones in Armenia's regions. The country has a necessary infrastructure, laws and an efficient education system. The sides discussed the features of business environment, Armenian Diaspora's participation in economic programmes. The UMBA representatives answered numerous questions.
UMBA Vice-President Nerses Karamanukyan conveyed UMBA's willingness to support the German company in Armenia.
