ArmInfo.Chairman of State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan received IMF Mission Chief for Armenia Iva Petrova. IMF Resident Representative for Armenia Mehdi Raissii and international experts participated in the meeting as part of the IMF delegation.
According to the press service of the State Revenue Committee, the SRC chairman and the IMF mission chief discussed a number of issues concerning bilateral cooperation. Particularly, the SRC presented the 2022 tax revenue performance, the impact of current factors on tax collection, and forecasts of 2023 tax receipts by main tax types. The need to review the Tax Code in order to improve control over natural persons, issues concerning ensuring access to bank information for tax authorities, the process of implementing the e-system of Single Window at the Armenian border, and the expected results of pre-entry customs declaration system were discussed. The parties also talked about the outcomes of the technical assistance provided by the IMF in implementing the common declaration system for property and incomes of natural persons in Armenia. The participants of the meeting also discussed the course of the other projects underway with the technical assistance the IMF provides to the SRC as well as new potential areas of technical assistance provided to the committee. At the end of the meeting, the members of the IMF delegation expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the bilateral cooperation.
