ArmInfo. The Yeremyan Projects company will construct a new stock-farm, "Yeremyan Farm", Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan wrote in a Facebook post. He participated in the "time capsule" laying ceremony for the farm construction.
The stock-farm will occupy and area of 29 hectares, with farms for cattle and swine, a slaughter-house, fodder storage, plot of land for forage crops growing, and a parking place for farm machinery.
The construction project will be completed next spring. "The new up-to-date stock-farm will enhance the productivity of Armenia's agricultural sector and set an example to other companies," Mr Kerobyan wrote.
On August 5, 2022, Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Board Chairman Nikolay Podguzov, Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan and Director of the Yeremyan Farm CJSC David Yeremyan signed a memorandum of cooperation to construct a farm designed for 1,200 head of cattle and 580 sows.
The farms will meet all international standards and produce up to 700 tons of high-quality pork, with a daily output of milk up to 30 tons.
The EBD's share in funding the project is $25mln, with Armenia's government to subsidize investment expenditure.
