ArmInfo.The member states of the Eurasian Economic Union should use every chance and strengthen Eurasian integration, which will increase the competitiveness of national economies. Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich stated on October 20, delivering a speech at the Yerevan State University.
He noted that economic interdependence, trust at all levels of management make it possible to achieve stable progress and reduce the risks of conflicts. The Eurasian Economic Commission traditionally pays considerable attention to the issues of involving the scientific, expert and academic community of the Member States in the development and implementation of the perspective agenda of the Union, as well as the promotion of Eurasian integration among young people, which is provided, among other things, by the Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025.
"Our strength lies in the realization of the value of integration both in applied economic and global civilizational aspects," Mikhail Myasnikovich said at the end of the lecture.
It should be noted that during the visit to YSU, Chairman of the Board also met with Rector of the University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan,Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Karen Trchunyan and the teaching staff of the university.
The issues of cooperation between the EEC and YSU on the issues of training and advanced training of specialists in the field of economic integration, the introduction of the Eurasian component in educational programs, holding joint discussion and information events, and involving the university in research work in various areas of the EAEU activities were discussed.
Rector of Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan awarded Mikhail Myasnikovich with a medal dedicated to the 100th anniversary of YSU foundation. It should be noted that the EEC maintains close cooperation with higher educational institutions of the EAEU countries. Work is underway to establish the Eurasian Network University.
