EU to issue 33mln EUR grant to Armenia 

ArmInfo.Armenia's government has approved a draft decree by Armenia's president approving the Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Commission on Accountable Institutions and Human Rights Protection in Armenia,  which provides for the issuance of a 33mln EUR grant to Armenia for SMB  development and establishment of the Ministry of the Interior. 

Armenia's Vice-Premier Mher Grigoryan said that, under an EU-Armenia  long-term programme 2021- 2017 (without co-financing by Armenia),  EU-sponsored grant agreements will be implemented. 

One of the projects involves a 23mln EUR grant for inclusive and  sustainable socio-economic reconstruction and development in the  post-pandemic and post-war periods under CEPA and EU economic and  investment plan for Armenia. 

The funds will also be directed to strengthen the social protection  system and integration an socio- psychological support to families  forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
