ArmInfo. In 2022, more than AMD 23bln ($56mln) have been recovered to the state budget of Armenia, which is an unprecedented figure, the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports.
The following data on the previous years are available: AMD 5bln in 2021, AMD 2.5bln in 2020, AMD in 2019, AMD 8bln in 2018, AMD 5bln in 2017.
The Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee investigated cases involving various economic activities (import-export, mining, provision of services, trade, alienation of property, smuggling, etc.).
During the period under review, criminal cases involving money laundering and fraud were also investigated. As a result, charges were brought against various individuals, preliminary investigations were completed in 35 criminal cases, and the indictment was submitted to prosecutors to send proceedings to court, the report reads.
