Possibilities of expanding cooperation in energy and transport  between Armenia, Iran discuss in Tehran

ArmInfo.On January 31 in Tehran, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Iranian Vice President Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi co-chaired a meeting of the  commission for monitoring the implementation of the agreements  reached during the 17th meeting of the Armenian-Iranian  intergovernmental commission.

According to the press service of the RA government, within the  framework of the meeting, the prospects for the development of trade  and economic relations between the two countries, as well as the  possibilities of expanding existing cooperation in the field of  energy and transport were discussed. An exchange of views took place  on the creation of favorable conditions for the development and  expansion of trade and economic relations, including within the  framework of the EAEU.

A day before the session of the commission, a working meeting was  held between RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Iranian Vice  President Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi.  As part of the work of the  commission, separate thematic discussions were held with the  participation of the Deputy Ministers of Territorial Administration  and Infrastructure, Economy, Environment of the Republic of Armenia  in order to solve existing problems in the mutually beneficial areas  of Armenian-Iranian cooperation and implement joint measures to solve  them.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia noted in his  speech that Iran is a friendly country and an important partner for  Armenia. He thanked the Iranian side for the warm welcome and  stressed the importance of holding regular consultations in this  format.

Mher Grigoryan invited Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi to Yerevan to  participate in the next meeting of the monitoring commission.

It was noted on both sides that the solutions to the fixed problems  will always be in the focus of attention of the governments of the  two countries.
