EBRD, Central Bank sign Memorandum to support  CBA in Digital  Transformation of Financial Market Infrastructure in Armenia

ArmInfo. The European Bank for Reconstruction  and Development (EBRD) and the Central Bank of Armenia signed a  memorandum under EBRD-KEXIM Joint Consultation Knowledge Sharing  Programme (KSP) with the aim to support the CBA in Digital  Transformation of Financial Market Infrastructure in Armenia. George Akhalkatsi, head of the EBRD Yerevan Resident Office,  announced this on his page on the social network LinkedIn.

It should be noted that during the years of its activity in Armenia,  the EBRD has invested 2.048 billion euros in 205 projects in the  financial, corporate, infrastructure and energy sectors, while 91% of  the investments are in the private sector. Today EBRD is a  shareholder of only one Armenian bank - Ameriabank (17.73%). Earlier  (several years ago), it had its share in the capital of at least five  Armenian banks, but  after completing the mission, but after  completing the mission, it took an exit strategy. Currently, the bank  is implementing loan programs with ACBA Bank, ARARATBANK, Evocabank,  INECOBANK, Ameriabank, IDBANK and Armswissbank.
